Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

The 22 housing projects included two Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) projects, that were finished in just a waiting period of a lot less than three years. The SWT work, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, comprised a total amount of 1,995 flats.

Condo homeowners of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been receiving the keys to their brand-new home from November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence commenced in mid-January this year.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has recently released the finish of the last two pandemic-delayed work from HDB, according to a Jan 20 release.

The two Build-to-Order (BTO) projects, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, observe the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed property ventures. As a whole, the 92 projects have supplied over 75,800 brand-new apartments to Singaporeans over the last five years.

As at Jan 15, 657 homes or 59% of 1,109 reserved units have gotten their keys.

HDB is expected to alert the remaining flat owners of their key collection date soon, following the finish of the final blocks among both ventures this month.

According to HDB, the finalization of Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) notes the completion of all condos in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Phase 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO ventures, that were finished in 2024.

The final block, that was postponed by six months from its first PCD, was accomplished in mid-January.

The standing projects had waiting times of as much as 5 years. Generally, over 18,000 flats were carried out in 2024, says HDB.

Positioned around Serangoon Road, Lavender Road and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room flats across four residential blocks.

In 2024, HDB completed a total of 22 home properties, 17 of which were put off by the pandemic. With the exception of one that was postponed due to non-pandemic factors, the standing four house assignments were accomplished in a timely manner.

As at Jan 15, 37 houses or about 7% of 555 reserved units have gotten their keys.

Placed around New Punggol Roadway, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) makes up 1,179 units of two-room flexi, three-, 4- and five-room flats throughout six home blocks. Following pandemic hold-ups, the project’s last block was finished 12 months from its initial Probable Completion Date (PCD) earlier this month.

At the moment, 110 HDB home jobs are under development, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to complete around 17,000 flats all around 27 plans in 2025.
