CBRE acquires Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm Paia Consulting
In June, United Overseas Bank and Enterprise Singapore introduced a sustainability advisory programme for SMEs, in collaboration with Paia Consulting, CDP, Convene ESG, M1, PwC Singapore and TÜV SÜD.
David Fogarty, who has led CBRE’s ESG Consulting and Sustainability Providers team in Asia ever since 2022, will certainly lead the extended crew at Paia from CBRE.
Anshuman Magazine, CBRE consultatory division ceo, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa, says the purchase will have an effect throughout the APAC zone. “The higher degree of understanding and interest in sustainability is increasing among services, and improving regulations will offer a catalyst for them to build sustainability strategies and to establish development on their execution.”
Supporting the acquisition, the firm will be relabelled Paia from CBRE, and the staff will be integrated with CBRE’s continuing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting and sustainability support services team. Johnson will most likely be the major professional within the joined entity, whilst Forcellati will be the new supervisor of client sustainability strategy and remedies.
On August 1, CBRE revealed that it has already gotten Paia Consulting, a Singapore-based sustainability advising company. The acquisition is side of the New York Stock Exchange-listed international real estate services company’s development of its sustainability advising business in Asia Pacific.
Moray Armstrong, handling director of CBRE Singapore, claims the introduction of Paia’s functions will set CBRE at the lead of ESG advisory in Singapore and throughout Asia Pacific. “Our professionals are going to partner with customers on reporting, education, compliance, benchmarking, establishing, and carrying out ESG strategies. CBRE will absolutely influence the developed setting.”
Carrie Johnson started Paia Consulting and is its starting director. She has more than two decades of experience in sustainability approach, reporting, and ecological concerns. Corrado Forcellati, Paia Consulting’s managing executive from 2021, guides firms in Singapore and Southeast Asia incorporate sustainability into their business procedures.
In August 2023, Keppel worked with Bennett Wong, former major expert at Paia Consulting, to become its team sustainability senior administrator. Wong left in July to sign up with professional services firm RSM.
